ISLAMABAD, Jan 16 (APP):Dr Abrar Hussain Malik, Central President of the All Pakistan Private Schools & Colleges Association (APPSCA), has urged authorities to notify schools at least three working days before inspections and to ensure registration and renewal certificates are issued on time.
An APPSCA delegation, led by Dr Abrar, met Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) Chairman Dr Ghulam Ali Mallah and submitted their demands highlighting administrative, legal and operational challenges faced by private schools. These included immediate fines after registration deadlines, complex forms, and frequent health campaigns that disrupt school operations, said a news release on Friday.
The delegation called for reinstating a reasonable grace period, simplifying registration and renewal processes, a minimum three-year registration term, removal of unnecessary data requirements, and exemption of charitable institutions from fees.
They also urged consultation with stakeholders on the Out-of-School Children Project, legal and administrative support during notices or court cases, and inclusion of all stakeholders in policymaking.
