ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (APP):Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi on Friday paid an important visit to the National Police Academy, where he reviewed ongoing renovation and upgradation works and announced a series of initiatives aimed at improving police training, welfare, and professional standards.
During the visit, the Interior Minister inspected the academy’s renovated facilities, including the conference hall, dining hall, and various training rooms.
He also issued necessary directives to Commandant National Police Academy Muhammad Idrees regarding the pace and quality of work.
Addressing the under-training Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs), Naqvi announced that the ASPs will be allotted residential plots upon passing out. He further stated that the current batch of officers will be trained according to international standards.

Naqvi said special steps are being taken to address financial challenges faced by police officers. “I want every officer’s salary to be improved,” he remarked, noting that modern facilities will be provided to officers through the National Police Foundation.
He also assured that long-standing promotion issues of police officers will be resolved.
