District police directed to launch crackdown against land mafia, narcotics

ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (APP):District Police Officer (DPO) Kohat, Shehbaz Elahi has chaired an important crime meeting to review the overall law and order situation, ongoing police operations, and measures for crime prevention across the district.
The meeting was attended by SP Investigation, SP Headquarters, SP City, SP Saddar, all
Sub-Divisional Police Officers, and Station House Officers of the district, the official sources said on Thursday.
During the meeting, the DPO directed the police to initiate a strict crackdown against the land mafia, utilize all available resources to eradicate the menace of narcotics, and make the arrest of proclaimed offenders more effective.
 He emphasized that terrorism, extortion, drug trafficking, land grabbing, and other heinous crimes would be
dealt with indiscriminately through strict legal action.
The officers were instructed to confront criminal elements with an iron hand and ensure the writ of law at all costs.
The DPO further urged police officials to improve their professional performance, adopt courteous behavior with the public, and strengthen the bond of trust between police and citizens.
He remarked that a strong, efficient, and people-friendly police force was essential for eliminating crime and establishing sustainable peace.
Meanwhile, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Kohat, Irfan Tariq, visited the Police Training School Kohat to inspect security arrangements.
Director,  Training School, Fazal Dad, briefed the DIG on training activities, internal and external security systems, and
overall arrangements.
The DIG issued further directives to ensure foolproof security and stressed special attention to all aspects of
safety to deal with any untoward incident promptly.
 DPO, Shehbaz Elahi also accompanied the DIG during the visit.
