IHC issues notices on appointment of Yasir Ilyas as Coordinator on Tourism

ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP):The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued notices to the respondents in a petition against the appointment of Sardar Yasir Ilyas as Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Tourism.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir heard the petition of a citizen, Muhammad Tahir regarding the matter.

Advocate GM Chaudhry appeared in the court on behalf of the petitioner and took the position that there is no constitutional basis to appoint a coordinator. Tourism is a provincial matter, not a federal one, he argued.
