PESHAWAR, Jan 14 (APP):Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Public Health Engineering Fazal Shakoor Khan presided over an important meeting regarding the formulation of posting and transfer policy of the PHE Department on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Engineer South and the Director Technical.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on developing a comprehensive policy to make the posting and transfer process of departmental officers and other staff transparent, fair, and strictly in accordance with rules and regulations.
The Provincial Minister emphasized that a clear and viable posting and transfer policy is essential to improve departmental performance, ensuring that merit and administrative requirements are given equal consideration.
He issued directives to concerned officers to prepare, at the earliest, a comprehensive draft of posting and transfer policy by taking into account departmental needs, ground realities in the field, and the available human resources.
He stressed that the policy must ensure transparency, equal opportunities, and strong institutional discipline.
The KP Minister also highlighted the importance of the Departmental Placement Committee and instructed that the committee meetings should be held regularly on a quarterly basis.
He said that regular meetings of the Placement Committee would ensure timely, consultative, and rule-based decisions regarding postings and transfers, while also helping address the concerns of officers and staff in a timely manner.
He reiterated that all necessary steps would be taken to promote good governance, transparency, and institutional strengthening within the department.
He further assured that once the posting and transfer policy is finalized and approved, its effective and complete implementation will be ensured.
