SARGODHA, Jan 14 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) on Wednesday sealed two production units and registered cases against their owners for mixing salt and dry powder in dairy products in the Kot Momin area of Sargodha.
According to a spokesperson for the PFA, the authority shut down one dairy unit and one khoya unit following the receipt of failed laboratory reports. The official stated that the samples collected from these units did not meet the prescribed food safety standards, leading to the registration of FIRs against the owners.
The spokesperson further emphasized that a province-wide sampling campaign was currently underway to curb the sale of adulterated food items.
