KARACHI, Jan 13 (APP):Wing 999 Sports continued their winning run in the Wing 999 Inter Departmental Cricket League Tournament by securing their third consecutive victory, defeating Fay International by 54 runs at the Gulberg Gymkhana Ground.
Usman Raheem delivered an outstanding all-round performance, playing a decisive role in the win. He scored 48 runs with the bat and then claimed three wickets for just 16 runs, earning the highlights of the match.
Batting first, Wing 999 Sports posted 224 for 8 in their allotted 40 overs. Syed Hamza top-scored with 52, hitting four fours and five sixes, while Usman Raheem added 48 with five fours and a six. Ashiq Ali remained unbeaten on 34, and Abdullah Alam contributed 25 runs. For Fay International, Asad Malik picked up 2 wickets for 46 runs, while Syed M. Huzaifa claimed 2 for 48.
In reply, Fay International were bowled out for 170 in 32.5 overs. Abdullah Khan scored 51 with nine fours, Abdul Hanan remained unbeaten on 31, and Asad Malik added 30. Wing 999 Sports bowlers dominated the innings, with Usman Raheem taking 3 for 16, Raza 3 for 48, Aftab Alam 2 for 24, and Tariq Khan finishing with 2 for 41.
The tournament is being organized by the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in collaboration with Wing 999 Sports.
