LAHORE, Jan 13 (APP):Punjab Assembly (PA) Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said on Tuesday that Punjab is
offering a friendly and conducive environment for global investors.
He added that Pakistan is fully prepared to elevate its global trade relations to new heights.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a 20-member global business delegation from
the United States of America, Malaysia, Qatar, Norway, South Korea, and Canada at the Punjab Assembly Chamber.
The meeting focused on the promotion of global trade relations, available investment opportunities
in Punjab, and strengthening business-to-business linkages.
Addressing the delegation, the speaker emphasized the importance of business partnerships, investment promotion, and effective coordination.
He briefed the delegation on ongoing governmental reforms, business-related challenges, and concrete measures being taken to facilitate local and foreign investors. He stressed that the timely and effective resolution of issues faced by the global business community is an urgent necessity, adding that the Pakistani diaspora within the global business sector is playing a vital role as a bridge between different countries.
The global business delegation expressed keen interest in investment opportunities across Punjab and termed the government’s reforms as encouraging. Delegation members stated that the business-friendly environment and effective policies have significantly enhanced investor confidence. They also conveyed their willingness to engage in future joint ventures and long-term business partnerships with the Government of Punjab and the Punjab Assembly.
Provincial Law Minister Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Chairman Public Accounts Committee Syed Ali Haider Gilani, Chairman PEMRA Malik Ahmad Saeed Khan, and Mohsin Shah Nawaz Ranjha were also present
on the occasion.
Members of the Punjab Assembly Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Chaudhry Ahmad Iqbal, Khurram Warraich, Nausheen Adnan, Asma Ihtesham-ul-Haq, Chaudhry Iftikhar Hussain Chhachhar, Rana Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Ahmad Khan Leghari, Principal Secretary Amad Hussain Bhalli, Malik Ali Ahmad Khan, Director General Information & Public Relations Mahira Rafiq, and Rao Majid Ali, Director Media, Punjab Assembly, also attended the meeting.
