LAHORE, Jan 13 (APP):Mainly cold and dry weather is expected over most parts of the country, while very cold in hilly areas, however, the Met office categorically refutes the claims of historic and record breaking cold wave and clarifies that no such extreme or historic cold wave is expected in coming days.
Moderate to dense fog is likely to persist over most parts of Punjab, including the provincial capital, and frost may occur at isolated places.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), as per the latest analysis of numerical weather prediction models and observational data, temperatures are within the normal winter range, with no indication of widespread or persistent record-breaking conditions.
The public and stakeholders are advised to rely solely on official forecasts, warnings, and advisories issued by the PMD and to avoid spreading unverified information that may cause unnecessary concern.
In the city, maximum temperature was recorded 16 degree Celsius while minimum remained 5 on Tuesday.
