Uzbekistan’s role in the development of transcontinental links during the Great Silk Road era to be discussed in Spain

TASHKENT, Jan 13 (UzA/APP) : On February 25, 2026, a conference titled “Uzbekistan at the Crossroads: Regional Dynamics and Iberian Relations” will be held at the Centro Riojano de Madrid cultural center in Madrid.
The event is being organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan, in collaboration with the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Cádiz, with the support of Casa Asia.
The conference program includes presentations by Spanish and Portuguese scholars and experts on the development of Uzbekistan’s relations with Spain and Portugal, regional security and geopolitics, and academic, cultural, and economic cooperation.
The conference is expected to have a significant positive impact on strengthening cultural and diplomatic relations and enhancing economic ties between Spain and Uzbekistan.
