Open University introduces new degree program
LAHORE, Jan 12 (APP):Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has introduced a new subject-wise, two year degree program, through which students will now be able to obtain a degree in a specific subject in two years.
According to the university administration, this program has been introduced as a special degree program for students who are not pursuing a 4-year degree.
Students will obtain their degree after completing two years, and in future they will be able to enroll in the fifth semester for an honors degree in the same subject.
This new program is different from the 2-year associate degree and the university has launched this new short program in view of the low number of students in the 4-year degree program to provide ease of educational opportunities to students.
The new scheme will increase the flexibility in the academic engagements of the students and they will be able to complete their desired degree in less time.
