GUJRAT, Jan 12 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted 177 inspections across the district under
the supervision of Deputy Director Rizwan Saeed to ensure food safety and quality standards.
During the operations, authorities issued 68 improvement notices and imposed fines
totaling Rs 174,000 in 12 cases. Ten food samples were collected, and an emergency probation
order was enforced at one location. Authorities also confiscated and destroyed 2.65 kilograms of prohibited food items.
According to a PFA spokesperson, these measures aim to protect public health and ensure
the supply of quality food. Strict action will continue against those selling substandard or banned products.
