RAWALPINDI, Jan 11 (APP):The Rawalpindi Police have intensified their crackdown against motorcycle theft gangs, following arrest of five lifters from two different groups and recovered 15 stolen motorcycles from their possession during operation here on Sunday.
According to a police spokesperson on Sunday, Gujjar Khan Police arrested four members of a motorcycle theft gang and recovered 10 stolen motorcycles from their possession.
In a separate operation, Cantt Police arrested lifter and recovered five stolen motorcycles.
Police have registered separate cases against all of them and further investigation is underway.
Police said the arrested individuals were involved in depriving citizens of their valuable assets and will be presented in the court with solid evidence.
The spokesperson added that criminals involved in motorcycle theft will not escape the law, and operations against such elements will continue to ensure the safety and protection of citizens’ property, he added.
