ISLAMABAD, Jan 10 (APP):Senior officers of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police reviewed the security arrangements at the District Courts on Saturday ahead of the District Bar Association elections.
An ICT Police spokesperson told APP that following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, Islamabad Police remained fully active to maintain law and order in the federal capital and ensured the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
During the visit, DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, DIG Security Muhammad Atiq Tahir and SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza personally inspected the security measures put in place for the elections. The senior officers met with police personnel deployed on duty and issued instructions to perform their responsibilities in a professional and effective manner.
The spokesperson said the senior officers made it clear that the police force must stay fully prepared to deal with any untoward incident and that negligence in duty would not be tolerated. Ensuring law and order across the district, foolproof security at sensitive locations, and safeguarding citizens’ lives and property remain top priorities of Islamabad Police.
He said additional police personnel have been deployed at the city’s entry and exit points, while continuous and effective monitoring is being carried out through the Safe City Islamabad camera system to ensure immediate response to any suspicious activity.
The senior police officers reaffirmed that Islamabad Police would continue to perform its duties with dedication and professionalism to provide a safe environment for the public and uphold the rule of law.
