SC advances staff career progression with balanced reforms

ISLAMABAD, Jan 10 (APP):The Supreme Court of Pakistan has completed a year-long review of career progression for its administrative staff, aiming to remove disparities and improve service structures.
According to an official statement on Saturday, the Court reviewed long-pending cases of upgradation and brought most staff positions at par with corresponding federal government cadres to ensure fairness, motivation and institutional harmony.
In total, 218 officers and officials across multiple categories were upgraded to the next pay scale in recognition of their dedication and professional commitment. The beneficiaries include Lower and Upper Division Clerks, Assistants, Editors of Paper Books, Data Entry Operators, Telephone Operators, Court Associates and Assistant Registrars.
On the recommendation of the Departmental Promotion Committee, 57 staff members were also promoted strictly in line with prescribed rules, procedures and merit.
The Supreme Court reiterated that while employee welfare and professional growth remain a priority, the institution will maintain zero tolerance for any lapse in discipline, integrity or official conduct.
