LAHORE, Jan 10 (APP):The Lahore Arts Council, in collaboration with the Department of Film and Broadcasting, University of the Punjab, will hold a two-day film festival titled ‘Dekho Film’ on January 14 and 15 at Alhamra, aimed at promoting meaningful storytelling and creative expression through cinema.
Executive Director Lahore Arts Council Muhammad Nawaz Gondal said the festival reflects the evolving role of cinema as a platform not only for entertainment but also for social, cultural, and intellectual dialogue. He said the event will feature film screenings, interactive sessions, and training workshops to provide professional exposure and learning opportunities for young filmmakers, students, and cinema enthusiasts.
According to the organizers, a diverse range of films focusing on social, cultural, and intellectual themes has been curated to engage audiences and encourage critical reflection and discussion.
Gondal said Alhamra is making comprehensive preparations to ensure the success of the festival and expressed confidence that “Dekho Film” will serve as a milestone in promoting Pakistani cinema, nurturing emerging talent, and strengthening creative expression.
