SARGODHA, Jan 10 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Shaukat Ali,who also holds the additional charge of Chairman Education Board Sargodha on Saturday was given a detailed briefing on the administrative,academic and financial affairs of the board.
A delegation of board officers led by Secretary Education Board Abul Hassan Naqvi and Controller of Examinations Dr. Nazar Abbas briefed the chairman on the board’s overall procedures,jurisdiction and day-to-day functioning.
The briefing included the powers of the chairman,secretary and controller of examinations,responsibilities of various branches and details regarding staff strength and vacant positions.
Officials informed that 1,832 educational institutions were registered with the Education Board Sargodha,including 652 private schools and 958 government schools,while 134 private colleges and 88 government colleges were affiliated with the board.
The chairman was also briefed on the board’s online services,examination system,registration and result-related facilities,along with financial matters and the annual budget.
Ongoing development projects,including solarization of the board,construction of a new office block and demolition of the old building were also discussed.
Speaking on the occasion,Chairman Education Board Shaukat Ali said that all board affairs would be conducted strictly on merit and transparency would be ensured at every level.
He reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy against corruption would be strictly implemented and no irregularities would be tolerated.
