ISLAMABAD, Jan 09 (APP):Pakistan Information Commission (PIC) on Friday ordered the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Islamabad Police to give protection to a woman complainant.
It ordered to send copies of the decision to the Ministry of Interior, DG FIA and IG Islamabad.
The commission took notice on the life threats to a woman who sought information under the Right to Information Act. The PIC ordered to hear the matter on priority basis. Munir Ahmed Advocate appeared on behalf of the petitioner
The lawyer contended that the records sought in the appeal are directly related to the life and safety of a citizen. His client is being harassed by some influential officers for seeking information from the FIA.
