Civic services extended to 10 main markets, 7 roads

FAISALABAD, Jan 08 (APP):The district administration has launched next phase of uninterrupted municipal services and extended civic services to 10 major markets and 7 key roads of the city in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar accompanied by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir has visited various areas of the city to review ongoing works and assess service delivery.
They inspected Rajbah Road, Dijkot Road, College Road, Samundri Road, Canal Road, Jaranwala Road, D-Ground and Satiana Road where multiple departments were actively engaged in improvement activities.
The teams of Municipal Corporation, Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Water & Sanitation Agency (WASA), Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA) and Faisalabad Waste Management Company (FWMC) were seen working on the roads and in main markets to ensure enhanced municipal services.
Divisional Commissioner reviewed progress on covering of side-walk drains, painting of kerbstones, restoration of streetlights, removal of wall chalking, improvement of cleanliness standards, rehabilitation of the sewerage system, removal of encroachments, and establishment of model cart markets.
He also inspected ongoing beautification works along Canal Road greenbelt and canal brinks, expressing satisfaction over the pace and quality of work.
He directed the concerned departments to maintain high standards and ensure visible improvements for the public.
The administration is committed to continue provision of improved municipal services with full resolve to ensure a cleaner, safer and more organized Faisalabad, he added.
