SARGODHGA, Jan 08 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Capt (R) Muhammad Waseem chaired a detailed meeting to review preparations for the first polio vaccination campaign of the year, set to run from February 2 to 5. The meeting focused on the progress of the previous campaign and the deployment of teams.

The DC stressed that any absence or poor performance from teams would not be tolerated, reiterating that 100% coverage was mandatory in all areas. Strict action will be taken against officials in case of any deficiencies.
The campaign aims to vaccinate 709,266 children. A total of 167 Medical Officers (MOs) and 612 area in-charges have been appointed across 167 union councils. In total, 3,331 teams have been mobilized, including 3,036 mobile teams, 206 fixed teams, and 89 transit teams. Additionally, 4,020 volunteers, 275 education staff, and 18 officials from other departments will support the campaign.
The DC emphasized the importance of full cooperation, timely reporting, and adherence to the micro plan to ensure the campaign’s success and avoid the issues faced during the previous round.
