SARGODHA, Jan 07 (APP):Commissioner Sargodha Division Shaukat Ali has taken strict notice of the unsatisfactory sanitation situation in the city and directed the Sargodha Waste Management Company (SWMC) to initiate immediate corrective measures.
He took notice during a surprise inspection of various areas of the city here on Wednesday, where heaps of garbage, accumulated waste and weak sanitation arrangements were observed at several locations.
Expressing strong displeasure, he stated that negligence or laxity in the name of cleanliness would not be tolerated and strict action would be taken against responsible officers.
Shaukat Ali instructed SWMC officials to ensure the effective presence of monitoring staff in the field and to carry out daily cleanliness operations in a more efficient and organized manner.
He further directed that emergency measures be taken to promptly improve the sanitation condition and restore cleanliness across the city.
He stressed that providing a clean and healthy environment to the public is a fundamental responsibility of the administration, and failure in this regard is unacceptable.
