SARGODHA, Jan 05 (APP):President of the Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Khawaja Yasir Qayyum has lauded the effective leadership and commendable performance of FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh and his team for taking practical and result-oriented measures to address traders’ issues and promote national commerce.
In a statement issued here on Monday,the SCCI President termed the important meeting held on January 6 as a positive and decisive step toward the restoration of Pak-Afghan trade routes and the continuity of bilateral trade.
According to Khawaja Yasir Qayyum,the formation of a 12-member Pak-Afghan Joint Traders Committee as an outcome of the meeting will play a key role in removing barriers to border trade, building mutual trust, and enhancing commercial activities.
He said that under the leadership of Atif Ikram Sheikh,the FPCCI has successfully united chambers across the country and effectively conveyed the concerns of the business community to the highest levels of government.
He added that the establishment of the joint committee was clear evidence of the Federation’s seriousness in creating a business-friendly environment through concrete actions.
