FAISALABAD, Jan 04 (APP):Police arrested two outlaws while their two accomplices managed to escape following a police encounter in the jurisdiction of Roshanwala Police Station.
According to police, SHO Roshanwala Shahid Pervaiz and his team were on duty at a picket near Kajlay Mor late Saturday night when they spotted four suspects riding motorcycles. The police signaled the bikers to stop, but they opened indiscriminate fire and tried to flee.
The police pursued the suspects and encircled them near Chak No. 236-RB. Despite repeated warnings to surrender, the suspects fired again. During the encounter, two criminals—later identified as Imran alias Mani and Ali Raza, both with criminal records—sustained serious injuries and were arrested. They were shifted to a hospital for treatment, while the other two outlaws escaped under the cover of darkness and fog.
A special police team has been constituted to track and arrest the escapees.
