BAHAWALPUR, Jan 04 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) collected Rs 89.5 million in fines for violations of food safety rules and regulations across Bahawalpur Division during 2025.
According to a press release issued here, the authority carried out an extensive crackdown throughout the year as part of its mission to ensure the provision of safe and quality food from farm to plate.
The statement said that action against unsafe food practices resulted in fines exceeding Rs 89.5 million being imposed on 6,332 food business operators, while 39,377 warning notices were issued across the division.
The press release concluded that the PFA Bahawalpur chapter would continue its campaign to ensure the availability of safe and quality food for the public.
