Dera Ismail Khan , Jan 04 (APP):In line with the directives of the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the district administration of Dera Ismail Khan, in collaboration with the District Officer Social Welfare, has continued its campaign to identify and support homeless and shelterless individuals.
As part of the ongoing drive, various locations across the district were visited. During the operation, a total of 23 homeless individuals were identified and shifted to a designated shelter home (Panagah), where they have been provided safe accommodation.
The shelter facility is equipped with round-the-clock electricity, hot water, proper bedding and blankets. Separate rooms and washrooms with hot water facilities have been arranged for women. Additionally, all residents of the Panagah are provided with a free breakfast.
District administration officials stated that the campaign will continue to ensure that no vulnerable or shelterless person is left without basic protection, particularly during harsh weather conditions.
