President expresses sorrow over martyrdom of army personnel in avalanche accident

ISLAMABAD, Jan 03 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday expressed deep sorrow and grief over the martyrdom of Pakistan army officer, soldier and a machine operator in the avalanche accident at Burzil Pass.

The President paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyr Captain Asmad, Sepoy Rizwan and machine operator Essa, and expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families.

The President prayed for the elevation of the ranks of the martyrs and for the patience of the bereaved families.

He said, “The sons who sacrificed their lives in difficult circumstances are pride of the nation.”
