Youth social media summit concluded at Baragali Campus of UoP

PESHAWAR, Jan 03 (APP):A three-day titled “Youth Social Media Change Makers Summit” concluded at the Baragali Campus of the University of Peshawar (UoP), bringing together young social media enthusiasts from across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The summit that aimed to explore the constructive role of digital platforms in youth empowerment and social development was organized by WQ Software’s in collaboration with Department of History, University of Peshawar and KP Directorate of Youth Affairs.
Around 50 youth participants from different districts of KP took part in the event that focused on importance of social media as a tool for positive change, responsible digital citizenship, youth-led advocacy, storytelling for social impact, and countering misinformation.
Speakers and facilitators highlighted how social media can highlight youth voices, promote civic engagement and support entrepreneurship. Interactive discussions and group activities encouraged participants to design digital campaigns addressing local social issues.
At the closing ceremony, participants expressed gratitude to the Directorate of Youth Affairs KP, WQ Software’s and the University of Peshawar for providing a productive learning environment.
The summit concluded with a call for sustained collaboration between public institutions, academia and the private sector to further strengthen youth engagement through meaningful and ethical use of social media.
