PESHAWAR, Jan 03 (APP):Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Pakistan Army Captain Asmad Gulfam and his two colleagues during a rescue operation following an avalanche in the Burzil top area.
In his condolence message, the Governor said that Captain Asmad Gulfam was among those brave officers who considered wearing the uniform a sacred trust rather than a mere profession.
Faisal Karim Kundi said the supreme sacrifice of Captain Asmad Gulfam and his fellow soldiers is a matter of pride for the entire nation.
He added that Pakistani officers and soldiers are always ready to lay down their lives in the service of humanity, peace, and the people.
The Governor prayed for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks and patience for the bereaved families, saying the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its brave sons.
