Food outlets penalized in Gujrat

GUJRAT, Jan 03 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) conducted 65 inspections across Gujrat, issuing 17 improvement notices and imposing fines totaling Rs91,500 in nine cases.

During the operations, authorities also issued an emergency prohibition order and destroyed 10.8 kilograms of spoiled food items to safeguard public health.

According to a PFA spokesperson, the inspections are part of ongoing efforts to enforce food safety standards and prevent the sale of substandard or unsafe food in the district.
