Muqam inaugurates digital classrooms in Shangla University

SHANGLA, Jan 03 (APP): Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan and SAFRON and President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Engineer Amir Muqam, inaugurated modern digital smart classrooms at Shangla University here Saturday.
Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Sardar Khan, was also present, while a large number of faculty members, administrative officers and students participated in the ceremony.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam said that providing digital facilities in educational institutions in accordance with the requirements of the modern era was an urgent need of the time.
He said that the establishment of digital smart classrooms would enable students to receive quality education through modern technology and would improve the processes of teaching and research.
The government is taking comprehensive measures to promote higher education and improve educational facilities, he said.
Engr Amir Muqam said that laptops were being distributed among students of the country including Khyber Pakthunkhwa strictly on merit under the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme. He said these laptops helped students in completion of research studies besides exploring employment opportunities in Govt and private sectors. Laptops are great gifts of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for students of Pakistan, he added.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Sardar Khan thanked the federal minister and said that the establishment of digital smart classrooms at Shangla University would play an important role in further improving educational standards. He said that this modern facility would provide both teachers and students with opportunities to benefit from modern teaching methods.
At the end of the ceremony, the chief guest visited various departments of the University and expressed keen interest in the academic activities.
