LAHORE, Jan 02 (APP):The Dolphin Squad and the Police Response Unit (PRU) have released their overall performance figures for the year 2025, according to which significant achievements were made in the field of citizen protection, crime prevention and immediate response.
According to a Dolphin spokesperson, the Dolphin Squad and the PRU rescued citizens by responding to 5,943 valid calls received on the emergency helpline 15 during the year 2025. During the stop and search campaign, 14.839 million 26 suspicious persons and 12.172 million 881 vehicles and motorcycles were checked.
During patrolling, the Dolphin and the PRU arrested 20,468 suspects involved in serious crimes, including 86 street criminals. In addition to 438 gangs involved in robbery, theft and banditry, 160 thieves were also brought to justice.
During the year 2025, there were 3 police encounters in which dangerous robbers were arrested. According to the spokesperson, Dolphin soldiers were also martyred in police encounters last year, while more than 67 officers were injured during clashes with robbers.
