BAHAWALPUR, Jan 02 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza conducted a detailed visit to Nawab Sir Sadiq Khan Abbasi Hospital Bahawalpur and inspected various departments of the hospital.
During the visit, the deputy commissioner reviewed the medical facilities being provided in the Emergency Department, Outpatient Department (OPD), Pharmacy and different wards. He also obtained firsthand feedback by interacting directly with patients and their attendants regarding the availability of medicines, staff behavior and the overall standard of medical treatment. Patients and their relatives shared their concerns and suggestions, which were attentively noted by the Deputy Commissioner.
The DC laid special emphasis on the cleanliness system of the hospital and directed the Additional Medical Superintendent to further improve sanitation arrangements. He issued clear instructions to ensure complete cleanliness in all wards on a daily basis and to maintain regular monitoring of hygiene standards. Syed Hassan Raza stated that no compromise would be made on cleanliness and healthcare standards, and any negligence in patient treatment would not be tolerated. He warned that strict action would be taken against those found responsible for lapses in cleanliness or service delivery.
The Deputy Commissioner further said that, in line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the provision of quality and improved healthcare facilities to the public is a top priority of the Punjab Government. He directed the hospital administration to utilize all available resources to ensure better medical services for patients. Concluding the visit, the Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the commitment of the district administration to continue taking effective measures for public welfare and the improvement of the health sector.
