DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 02 (APP):Commissioner Dera Division, Dawood Khan met a delegation of persons with disabilities from the Deaf Welfare Association and assured them of complete cooperation and provision of facilities to address their issues.
According to details, the meeting was held at the Commissioner’s office where matters related to challenges faced by persons with disabilities, availability of facilities, and ongoing and future welfare initiatives were discussed in detail.
The delegation highlighted key concerns including accessibility, healthcare, education, employment opportunities, and social inclusion.
The commissioner listened attentively to the suggestions and concerns raised by the delegation and directed the relevant departments to ensure prompt facilitation and effective inter-departmental coordination in matters concerning special persons. He emphasized that protection of their rights and creation of a supportive and inclusive environment remain among the top priorities of the administration.
Dawood Khan assured the delegation that concrete steps would be taken to enhance training programs, promote employment opportunities, and ensure easier access to government services for the special persons. He also expressed commitment to initiating policy-level measures aimed at bringing meaningful and positive change in their lives.
Earlier, the delegation welcomed the Commissioner on his new appointment and expressed hope that under his leadership, effective steps would be taken to resolve long-standing issues being faced by the special persons.
