Tehran, Jan 2 (IRNA /APP): President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian has appointed Mohammad-Reza Farzin as his special economic aide, after he accepted his resignation as governor of the Central Bank of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
In an official decree on Thursday, Pezeshkian expressed hope that Farzin will draw upon expert opinions and provide constructive guidance to help advance the government’s economic agenda and address national challenges.
“…it is expected that you will diligently contribute to realizing the government’s goals and solving the country’s problems in this field,” the president wrote.
Farzin was replaced by Abdolnasser Hemmati, a former economic minister, as the new Central Bank governor.
