Blind murder solved using AI leads

MULTAN, Jan 02 (APP): Local police have claimed to have solved a blind murder case using modern technology and professional expertise, leading to the arrest of the prime suspect.
According to police, on December 8, 2025, an unidentified man was found critically injured at a graveyard on Multan Road, Shujaabad, and was shifted to THQ Hospital, where he later died. The deceased was identified as Qazi Rizwan Habib. Police registered FIR No. 2008/25 under Sections 302 and 324 PPC and launched an investigation.
Using call detail records, CCTV footage, and human intelligence, police traced and arrested the suspect, Nimran Shah. Police said the case’s detection reflected improved professional capacity and effective use of technology.
In a separate development, Multan Police also took timely action against kidnapping cases. Shah Rukn-e-Alam police safely recovered a two-month-old baby girl and arrested the accused woman.
Police said CPO Sadiq Ali Dogar took immediate notice of the incident and formed a special team, which used mobile data and intelligence to arrest Bushra Bibi and recover the abducted child, Ayesha Bibi, who was later handed over to her parents.
Preliminary investigations revealed the accused allegedly abducted the child under the pretext of spiritual healing. Police have registered a case and launched further investigation, while advising citizens to report suspicious activity promptly.
