ISLAMABAD, Jan 1 (APP):The staffers of Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) on Thursday welcomed the New Year with a special ceremony held here at the headquarters, expressing a commitment to further their dedication towards professionalism.
Managing Director APP Muhammad Asim Khichi cut the cake to mark the occasion, flanked by Executive Director Ms Sabeen Usman Khattak, Director News Shumaila Andleeb, Chief Reporter Abbas Ali Chohan and senior journalists.
The MD APP in his address to the staff emphasized learning modern and digital techniques of journalism and called for renewing the commitment for professionalism on the eve of new year.
He urged the journalists to sharpen their creativity, instill greater discipline, and embrace responsibility in crafting news that caters to the contemporary needs.
He called upon the APP team to mark 2026 as a year of integrity, improvement, and professional excellence.
