Newly appointed IGP chairs introductory meeting

KARACHI, Jan 01 (APP): Newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh Javed Alam Odho chaired an introductory meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) Karachi to review key issues and performance of various departments.
The meeting was attended by Additional IGP Training, DIG’s of Headquarters, Establishment and Training, AIGs of T&T, and the Principal of Razzaqabad Police Training College, said a news release on Thursday.
In the first phase, the performance and major challenges of the Establishment and Training & Development (T&D) departments were reviewed.
Addressing the participants, IGP Sindh said the future of policing is closely linked to digitalisation, stressing that adopting modern, technology-driven policies is no longer optional.
He said smart policing would significantly improve service delivery, while also helping reduce manpower requirements and financial expenditures.  The IGP added that he would hold similar introductory meetings with different units and divisions to strengthen coordination and efficiency.
IGP Sindh Javed Alam Odho further said that the Sindh government is fully supporting efforts aimed at improving police service delivery across the province.
