KARACHI, Jan 01 (APP): The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan stood US$ 21,012.2 million as of December 26, 2025 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan rose to $ 15,915.1 million.
“During the week ended on 26-Dec-2025, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 13 million to US$ 15,915.1 million,” the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
However, the net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks decreased by $ 23 million to $ 5,097.1 million during the week, as shown in the break up of forex reserves for the period under review.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country in the previous week ended on December 19, 2025 were 21,022.6 million. Among them the central bank held foreign exchange reserves of $ 15,902.5 million while the commercial banks held $ 5,120.1 million.
