ATTOCK, Jan 1 (APP):Rescue 1122 Attock served 46,120 affected people during the year 2025, District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Attock Dr. Mian Muhammad Ashfaq said while releasing the department’s annual performance report.
He stated that Rescue 1122 continued round-the-clock operations throughout the year to safeguard the life and property of citizens.
According to the report, the Rescue 1122 control room in Attock received a total of 258,560 calls in 2025, of which 45,408 were emergency calls, while around 213,000 were found to be wrong or fake.
Dr Ashfaq shared that the emergency calls included 3,840 traffic accidents, 35,394 medical emergencies, 802 fire incidents, 433 crime-related emergencies, 9 drowning incidents, and 4,930 miscellaneous emergencies.
He further said that during 2025, Rescue 1122 Attock shifted 2,186 patients from Attock district to government hospitals in Rawalpindi in time.
Expressing regret, he added that 267 people lost their lives during various emergency incidents in the district.
The DEO appreciated the professional skills and spirit of service of Rescue 1122 officers and personnel, reaffirming that the institution remains committed to public service. He vowed that in 2026, Rescue 1122 Attock would further improve the effectiveness, timeliness, and quality of its services.
At the end, he appealed to the public to use the 1122 emergency helpline only in genuine emergencies so that response capacity can be utilized to save precious human lives more efficiently.
