ISLAMABAD, Jan 1 (APP): President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday expressed his profound sorrow over a devastating explosion and fire at the Crans-Montana resort in Switzerland, which caused multiple casualties.
The president, in a statement, conveyed his heartfelt condolences over the loss of lives and extended his wishes for strength and a quick recovery to those injured.
“Heartbroken by news of the devastating explosion & fire in Crans-Montana on New Year’s night. I extend deepest condolences to the families of the victims & wish strength & swift recovery to the injured,” he said.
President Zardari said that Pakistan stood in solidarity with Switzerland during this hour of grief.
