BAHAWALPUR, Jan 01 (APP):Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Musarrat Jabeen, along with Deputy Commissioner Bahawalpur Syed Hassan Raza, paid a surprise visit to Bahawal Victoria Hospital and carried out a detailed inspection of various departments of the hospital.
During the visit, they reviewed the MRI Center, Cardiac Center and Emergency Ward, and observed the medical facilities being provided to patients. The Commissioner expressed strong displeasure over the non-functional MRI machine and directed the concerned authorities to ensure its immediate restoration and submit a detailed report. She emphasized that the unavailability of modern medical facilities would not be tolerated under any circumstances and that patients must not face difficulties in receiving treatment.
While inspecting the Cardiac Center, the Commissioner also expressed dissatisfaction with the cleanliness arrangements and instructed the hospital administration to immediately improve hygiene standards. She strictly directed the Medical Superintendent of Bahawal Victoria Hospital to ensure proper cleanliness throughout the hospital, warning that any negligence in this regard would not be tolerated.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza separately visited the Emergency Ward and reviewed the cleanliness and lighting arrangements. He directed the concerned staff to immediately resolve issues related to poor sanitation and faulty lighting, stating that providing timely treatment in a clean and well-maintained environment to emergency patients is the foremost responsibility of the administration. The Commissioner further instructed the hospital management to pay special attention to patient facilitation, cleanliness, and the restoration of medical equipment to ensure the provision of quality healthcare services to the public.
