Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Jan 01 (APP):Seven ships, Spirit of Bertram, Hansa Africa, Minamoto, Navision Vincentiz, Al-Soor-II, Joseph and Venus-09 schedule to load/offload Container, Sand, Cement/Rice, Gas oil and LPG, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Multi-Purpose-1&2, FOTCO oil Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and Sui Southern Gas Terminal respectively on Wednesday, Meanwhile five more ships, MSC Susanna, Floyen, Royal Chemist, Trimmu-3 and Benue carrying Container, Palm oil, LPG and LNG also arrived at outer anchorage during last 24 hours.
A total of eleven ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them a containers ship ‘Spirit of Bertram’ left the port on Thursday morning, while six more ships, Trans Asia, Joseph, Navision Vincentiz, Fortuo, Unity Maria and Hansa Africa are expected to sail on Thursday.
Cargo volume of 172,886 tonnes, comprising 118,372 tonnes imports cargo and 54,514 export cargo carried in 5,248 Containers (2,262 TEUs Imports & 2,986 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are 13 ships at Outer Anchorage of the Port Qasim, out of them six ships, MSC Susanna, Mohammad-M, Sea Ray, Ando Meda, Al-Diab-II and Benue scheduled to load/offload Container, Polymers Bags, Palm oil, Rice, LPG and LNG are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-2, LCT, FAP, EVTL and PGPCL on Thursday.
