Rescue 1122 Abbottabad handled 5,931 emergencies in 2025: annual report

ABBOTTABAD, Jan 01 (APP):District Emergency Officer Hafeez Rehman has released the annual performance report of Rescue 1122 Abbottabad for the year 2025, revealing that the emergency service responded to a total of 5,931 incidents during the past year to protect lives and property.
According to the report, Rescue 1122 Abbottabad received 381,316 calls during the year, including informational and other non-emergency calls. The report was issued on the directives of Director General Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tayyab Abdullah and Regional Director Operations North Arshad Iqbal.
Briefing the media, District Emergency Officer Hafeez Rehman said that Rescue 1122 Abbottabad maintained an average response time of seven minutes and provided timely and professional emergency services to 5,538 people in various incidents throughout the year.
He said that the emergencies handled in 2025 included 584 road traffic accidents, 4,544 medical emergencies, 328 fire incidents, 50 crime or gunshot incidents, and 417 other and recovery-related emergencies.
According to Rescue 1122 Abbottabad spokesperson Sajid Iqbal, a total of 5,538 victims were provided first aid and shifted to different hospitals, while 99 people lost their lives in various incidents during the year.
The report further stated that 2,040 referral emergency calls were received, through which 1,852 patients were shifted to hospitals within the district, while 188 patients were transferred to hospitals outside the district for better medical treatment.
District Emergency Officer Hafeez Rehman said that the Rescue 1122 Abbottabad team would continue to serve the people with greater dedication and professionalism and would leave no stone unturned in providing emergency services to the public.
