ISLAMABAD, Jan 01 (APP):A 94-member delegation of students from Air University, H-11 Campus, accompanied by a faculty member, visited the Parliament House on an educational study tour.
Upon arrival, senior officials of the Upper House warmly welcomed the delegation.
During the visit, the students were taken to the Senate Museum, where they were provided with a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan’s parliamentary history, the legislative process, the role of the Senate in national affairs, its working procedures, Senate elections, and other parliamentary matters. On the occasion, a special documentary highlighting the history of the Senate and key parliamentary milestones was also screened, which the students watched with keen interest.
The delegation was also given a detailed orientation in the Senate Hall regarding the procedures of Senate sessions, various stages of legislation, and the functioning of parliamentary committees.
The briefing emphasized the effective role of the parliamentary structure and highlighted the significance of committees in the law-making process.
Subsequently, the students visited the “Constitution Avenue Gallery,” where they were briefed on the framing of the Constitution of Pakistan and the major milestones of the country’s constitutional history.
The students appreciated the informative session and expressed their interest in learning more about Pakistan’s constitutional development.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation thanked the Senate Secretariat for the informative and well-organized briefing, terming the study tour a valuable and enriching learning experience.
