He said traffic police officers are performing duties alongside operational police to maintain a coordinated system of traffic management and law and order. Traffic wardens have been deployed in commercial areas, markets and recreational spots to prevent congestion and guide road users.
The official said continuous monitoring of the traffic system is underway, while additional personnel have been posted at important crossings and chokepoints to deal with rush and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.
He added that one-wheeling, car skating, racing and reckless driving are strictly prohibited, and legal action will be taken against violators. Traffic police officers will remain on duty until 3:00 am to ensure discipline and safety on city roads.
