SIALKOT, Dec 30 (APP):The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and District Police Sialkot on Tuesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to ensure smooth,secure and uninterrupted movement of vehicles carrying export cargo.
According to a spokesperson,under the MoU,compliant export cargo vehicles will be issued a special Export Cargo Identification Plate authenticated by the District Traffic Officer,while ensuring strict adherence to traffic laws and mandatory documentation.
The initiative aims to minimize unnecessary stoppages and ensure timely delivery of export consignments.
SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar said the agreement would facilitate exporters while maintaining road safety,adding that misuse of the identification plate would be treated as a criminal offense.
