ISLAMABAD, Dec 30 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police conducted a grand search and combing operation in the areas of Sumbal, Nilore, Karachi Company and Noon police stations as part of ongoing efforts to curb crime and enhance public safety.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the operation was carried out under the supervision of zonal SPs, with ladies police personnel also taking part. Prior to the operation, officers provided a comprehensive briefing to the deployed teams to ensure effective execution.
During the operation, police checked 505 individuals, 103 households, 25 shops and four hotels. In addition, 95 motorcycles and 35 vehicles were inspected.
The official said that for further verification, 16 suspicious persons, nine motorcycles and one vehicle were shifted to the concerned police stations. The operation aimed to deter criminal activity and maintain peace in the area.
He added that IGP Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has directed police to continue district-wide grand search operations to root out crime. Citizens were urged to cooperate during checks and promptly report any suspicious activity to the police.
Police reiterated that the safety of citizens remains the top priority of Islamabad Police.
