KARACHI, Dec 29 (APP):Sindh Minister for Irrigation, Jam Khan Shoro, along with Irrigation Secretary Zarif Khero, visited the ongoing PCC lining work at KB Feeder under K-IV project.
On this occasion, the concerned Superintendent Engineer, Sanwal Karim, gave the Provincial Minister a detailed briefing regarding the PCC lining works currently underway at the KB Feeder Upper as part of the K-IV project, according to a communique.
Shoro said that the project is progressing rapidly and work is ongoing on all three civil works packages. He explained that the project will significantly reduce water losses in the canal, improve water flow, and increase the canal’s capacity.
He said that under Phase One of the K-IV project, Karachi will be supplied with 260 million gallons of water daily. This project will play a vital role in conveying Indus River water to Keenjhar Lake.
He further stated that the K-IV PCC lining project is an important and strategic initiative for Sindh, which will enhance the supply of clean and sustainable water to Karachi and bring notable improvements to the irrigation system.
