LAYYAH, Dec 29 (APP): Local administration distributed Minority Cards among members of the Christian community at a ceremony here Monday, reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to the welfare of minority groups.
Members of the Christian community expressed their gratitude to the Punjab government and district administration for the launch and distribution of the Minority Cards.
Assistant Commissioner Zohaib Kareem said on the occasion that Minority Card is a key welfare initiative launched by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to provide economic protection and financial support to deserving families from minority communities. He added that this program would help improve the financial conditions of underprivileged minority households and ensure their inclusion in the mainstream of society.
Zohaib Karim further stated that the Punjab Government is taking practical and concrete steps to empower minorities and safeguard their social and economic rights.
Meanwhile, the AC also visited Rehri Bazaar at Chowk Azam to review cleanliness and administrative arrangements and ordered proper sanitation services in the area.
He asked handcart vendors to conduct their businesses within designated boundaries, emphasizing that maintaining discipline and order is essential for preserving the city’s beauty.
