ISLAMABAD, Dec 28 (APP): Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi on Sunday highlighted the strong and enduring ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan while addressing a farewell ceremony held in honor of Tajikistan’s Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) Saidjon Shafizoda Ismail on the completion of his diplomatic tenure in Pakistan.
The ceremony was organized by Pakistan Muslim League leader Sheikh Arslan Hafeez and was attended by a large number of diplomats and prominent figures.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that Pakistan and Tajikistan are bound by an unbreakable bond of Islamic brotherhood and share close, friendly relations.
He said that significant progress in bilateral relations was witnessed during the tenure of the outgoing DCM, whose role in strengthening ties between the two countries was highly commendable.
Expressing hope for the future, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi said he was confident that the successors of Shafizoda Ismail would continue this positive trajectory.
The Governor added that stronger relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan would not only benefit the peoples of both countries but would also contribute to peace, development, and prosperity in the wider region.
Addressing the gathering, Tajik DCM Shafizoda Ismail described his stay in Pakistan as exemplary and unforgettable. He said that the love and respect shown by the Pakistani people is equally reciprocated by the people of Tajikistan for Pakistan.
He also praised Governor Faisal Karim Kundi for his role in promoting and strengthening bilateral relations between the two brotherly nations.
